Letters are often the most important
For someone in prison or detention, letters are one of the most important connections to the outside world. Posta Brev makes it easy to send a letter without having to handle envelopes or stamps.
We print on plain A4 paper in a neutral white envelope. The letter is handled by the prison service per their routines on arrival.
How to address the letter
Write the inmate's full name (the name they are registered under), and ideally the internal ID the facility uses if you know it. Below that the full postal address of the facility, available on the prison service's website.
Print your sender address clearly — letters without a sender can be returned.
What's allowed?
Plain letters with text are generally allowed. Some facilities allow photos, others don't. Do not include money, cards, stickers or other objects — they risk having the letter stopped in inspection.
