How international letter sending works
You no longer need to buy international stamps or visit a postal agent. Write the letter on postabrev.se, choose the destination country, add the recipient address, pay in the checkout — we take care of the rest.
We print, fold, envelope and hand the letter over to PostNord for international distribution. Order before 11:45 AM on a weekday and the letter is on its way the same day.
Prices for international letters
The total is our handling plus PostNord's international postage. Standard handling is 49 SEK, express 89 SEK. International postage depends on the weight of the letter and is verified against PostNord's price list.
Prices per PostNord, effective 1 January 2026 (stamped international letter):
• Up to 50 g: 44 SEK
• 51–100 g: 66 SEK
• 101–250 g: 110 SEK
• 251–500 g: 140 SEK
A regular 1–2 page letter weighs under 50 g. The full total is always shown in checkout before you pay.
International delivery times
Delivery time depends on the destination. Nordic and closest EU countries: 4–7 business days. Rest of Europe: 5–8 business days. USA, Canada and Asia: 7–10 business days. Remote destinations: up to 14 business days.
All times are counted from when we hand the letter over to PostNord — which is the same or next business day after your order.
Common reasons to send letters abroad
Many customers send letters abroad to family and friends living or travelling outside Sweden — birthday cards, love letters, condolence letters, government correspondence, international business mail and cancellations of foreign contracts.
Sending letters internationally online saves both time and money compared to buying loose international stamps — and you never have to guess what the right postage costs. We calculate it for you against PostNord's official rate table.
Addressing an international letter correctly
The address must be complete: name, street with house number, postal code, city and the country name in English capitals. The form makes it obvious what to fill in.
If the recipient has a c/o address, add it on its own line. We place the full address per PostNord's guidelines so sorting works both in Sweden and in the destination country.
